Welcome to the Final Student Exhibition CUTOUT2022

Welcome to the final student exhibition 2022 of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts. We are thrilled that this event will take place live on 18-20 June 2022, at the premises of the Department, after two years of interruption, with only a virtual presence, due to the pandemic.

Message from the Rector of the University, Prof. Panayiotis Zaphiris

It is with great pleasure that I address the CUT OUT 2022 exhibit.
Creative Industries and Design graduates are at high demand, both because the Multimedia and Graphic Arts industry is at a rise due to the digital transformation of our operations (Working, Learning, Entertainment) but also because the skills and knowledge of these graduates are applicable to many other disciplines due to their ability to adapt, create and transform.

The samples of work of the graduates of the Department prove once again the excellent work carried out in the Department.

I extend my warmest congratulations to our students who are exhibiting their work today, and I wish them every success in whatever they do. To the academic colleagues and technical assistants who contributed to the preparation of the event, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks.

Dr. Panayiotis Zaphiris
Professor

Our students completed their studies and prepared the final exhibition CUTOUT2021 with a lot of enthusiasm and care. We are confident that the live event, along with this site, will show that the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts Department’s goals have been achieved for yet another group of alumni. Our goal in this Department is to prepare our students to respond effectively and successfully to the professional requirements of our field, promoting interdisciplinary design, as well as collaboration between industry, academia and research organizations. Our aim is also to cultivate thinking individuals, capable of providing solutions to design problems, and ready to contribute to our society and promote social change for a better world. We are positive that the work and the objects that will be exhibited will make us proud.

Student awards will be announced at the kickoff of the event, 18/06/2022. The awards are given by 1) the School of Fine and Applied Art, 2 ) the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts and 3) Mr. Yiotis Kyriakou, owner of “The Copy Shop” at Saripolou, who we thank for the initiative.
